Later, Bárbara and Joseph spot a German submarine near the coast. Meanwhile, at MI6, Miss Black informs Siegfried about the attacks on British ships, so he assigns Black to locate and kill a certain Major Smiley. Meanwhile, Rose receives a photograph of Smiley from Agent Paulo, setting a race in motion. Bárbara meets Miss Black, hands her a drawing with the location of the submarine she spotted, and confesses that she fears for her life due to Rose's behaviour. Miss Black gives her a gun and asks her to investigate what Rose knows about Smiley. Carol receives the news that her husband has been taken to a concentration camp in France and is deeply shaken, while Martha tries to calm her. Tensions arise when Bárbara searches Rose's house drawers for compromising documents. Bárbara is caught by surprise, and Rose grows suspicious of her intentions. Yet, Bárbara tries to hide her anxiety. The plot thickens when Joseph kills the lighthouse keeper who was giving information to Rose. Bárbara, in turn, fakes a robbery at her own house to cover her actions. Finally, Bárbara confronts Carol, leading to a clash between Martha, Bárbara, and Carol. See less
