Across the hall, Grant comforts a depressed Brooke who worries that her plan to win back Ridge is not working so far. Brooke is furious when Megan informs them that Ridge has decided to send Grant to a fashion conference in Italy in his place. Brooke decides to go instead. She is desperate when Ridge tells her he will marry Taylor in exactly one month. Holding a gun in his hand, Mike is about to do a desperate act and kill Maggie. Sheila confesses to James that Mike kidnapped Maggie insisting she knew nothing about it. Sheila and James then rescue Maggie from Mike's captivity. Shortly before the police arrive, Mike flees from his little hideaway at the Santa Monica pier.
