After the death of the Prosecutor General Sablin, Irinarkhov is released from prison. Dubrovsky accidentally finds out that his beloved Masha is the wife of his deceased friend, Pavel Khromov. Masha and those who are connected with her are agents of "Augur", who are engaged in blackmail and political adventures. For Dubrovsky's sake, Masha decides to break with "Augur". Surrounded by enemies, having lost all his friends, Dubrovsky takes a desperate step - together with Graver, they are preparing an assassination attempt on Irinarkhov. However, "Augur" warns Irinarkhov of the danger. Dubrovsky pretends that he is ready to cooperate with Irinarkhov. The security service of "IVA" is trying to find an agent of "Augur" in their ranks with the help of Dubrovsky. Unexpectedly, among the employees of "IVA" Dubrovsky recognizes Dasha, the daughter of the writer Kitaev. See less
