But the house comes with something unexpected: LAI-a prototype artificial intelligence doll, left behind by the tech division for beta testing. Programmed to be a child's ultimate companion, LAI instantly bonds with their youngest daughter, Emily. At first, LAI seems like a blessing-attentive, protective, and deeply connected to Emily.
