Though it's apparently supposed to be happening in the present, (he demonstrates to her "The Black Bottom") both are dressed in 1890's style clothes, with her in a bonnet and hoop skirt. They hug a lot, their height difference accentuated, and they try some dance steps, she trips up and falls down, her skirt going up and revealing funny patterned knickers.
