His life consists of lonely routines: welding work, silent walks, and returning to an empty home where no one contacts him. Moments of accidental pain briefly puncture his numbness. His isolation becomes overwhelming, leading him to the brink of suicide on an edge of a bridge . A sudden call from an old acquaintance, George, offers a glimmer of hope. However, their coffee shop meeting underscores Alexander's invisibility; he imagines confessing his crippling loneliness and suicidal thoughts, but in reality, he conceals his pain behind a facade of being "fine." George remains oblivious. Returning to his decaying apartment, Alexander's mental state deteriorates further through days of bedridden paralysis. Finally, physically weakened and emotionally shattered, he finds a work knife, whispers "What's the point anymore?," and reaches for it, engulfed by darkness. See less
