These laws are being used to sentence women to prison for 20 to 35 years for the 'crime' of abortion and miscarriage. Many of these women were sent ti prison without a fair trial and now through a mexican non-profit organization called Las Libres they can speak their voices and tell their stories. The stories of these women imprisoned fro abortion and the activists working to free them engages in broader struggles grounded in basic human rights to current situations in Argentina and the United States to show that what is happening in Mexico is a phenomenon that is much larger than Mexico.
