The stories took place in Lytton, a small village in the Interior of British Columbia, Canada, which was the location of St. Georges School, one of many residential schools in Canada. As these survivors shared their stories, they began to connect with their inner strength and humour, and to reconnect with their traditions, culture, and ancestral sites. The elders hope this reconnection with traditions and nature will inspire others to remember and share their happy memories as a way to building strong family ties within their communities.
