She wishes to see her mother dead so that she could get some time for herself. As the journey progress we can see that thought getting into her veins and impacting the relation with her son. The only thing that acts like a barrier to this thought is her morality and nature. She is struggling within herself, not able to share her feelings with others. Story ends with her mother falling accidentally in the bathroom and the housewife feels helpless, at the verge of losing her mother and at this moment, she realizes the real love inside her for her Mother, which overpowers all the bad thoughts, she had.
