Arriving on the coast in southern Spain to meet her boyfriend, Marc, she discovers he has vanished when he was hang-gliding over the ocean. Thinking the Coast Guard search is ineffective, she begins her own search with the help of Marc's best friend, David. As they search the lush mountainous coast, she struggles with a growing mutual attraction between them but then, one day, she wakes up in bed with Marc. He convinces her that his disappearance and her desperate search are just a nightmare she has been having. Finally together, they head out to their favourite beach.
