It is the habit of playing out all the unrealistic and improbable possibilities in your head, of a situation that you are going to have in the near future. Some may simply refer to it as overthinking. These things keep you wide awake, as your mind goes through anxiety, fear, and agitation. No matter how much ever we distract ourselves, we still do this quiet often... For what but? Just to prepare ourselves for everything that could wrong?
