Rescue workers find the body of a woman on board. She had no chance of escaping the water because the yacht's cabin was locked from the outside. The investigative team succeeds in establishing the victim's identity: Tessa Hadam, 46, from Lübeck, married and mother of two children. Tessa was a recovering alcoholic. Detectives Finn Kiesewetter and Lars Englen encounter a family traumatized by their mother's alcoholism, in which each member suffered in their own way. The father, Khalid Hadam, no longer had the strength to fight for his marriage. Daughter Samira has fled her parents' home, and her younger brother Aziz, 16, feels abandoned by everyone.
