The King offers to ally with them and Python to rule all dimensions, but Hakeem and Michael refuse. The King warns them that they will become his enemies, and then disappears through a portal. Hakeem and Michael devise a plan to create a beacon using the portal's magic to draw someone to them and get help. The episode sets up a potential confrontation between the heroes and their enemies, with the stakes raised as they struggle to find a way out of their predicament. With the failure of the Outsiders in retrieving the Orb. They return to Python empty-handed and are severely punished and tortured.
