As she imagines the life she would have had with Phillip, Katherine comes up and the women surprisingly share some civilized words together instead of fighting. Nikki blasts Diane for her innocent act and involving the press in this private matter. When Nikki taunts Diane how happy she is with Victor and that he dropped her in a heart beat, Diane has had it. She claims that Victor will not get rid of her that easily and swears to make sure for Nikki to be humiliated. A worried Ashley confides in Jack that she is sure of Cole's commitment, but worried about Victoria's actions now that Cole is aware that she is carrying his child. Olivia is surprised to hear from Malcolm that Neil is considering a divorce from Dru. Cole and Neil run into each other at the Lodge and they talk about life and how it can throw you a curve ball. Victoria is shocked when Olivia urges her to go through with the transfer to the Los Angeles office. Victor gets furious when Nikki fills him in on her visit with Diane. He fears that Nikki scorned Diane so that she won't accept a settlement. Meanwhile, Diane tells Michael to put Victor and Nikki under fire.
