America correspondent Thomas Rueb travelled to Tampa in Florida, the area affected by Hurricane Milton. He explains how the hurricanes became part of the political battle between Harris and Trump. 'In campaign time, of course, everything is political. But there was always one element in society that was not politicised, and that was the weather.' Where election campaigns used to be organised, Trump and Harris visited the affected areas. And Trump spread a lot of misinformation about the government's emergency services. 'These elections will ultimately be decided by a few thousand people in seven swing states. That storm is passing through a very sensitive area.' See less
