The targeted shot hits him right in the heart. The victim, along with his twin brother Frank and his wife Ellen, founded the urban planning firm "Lebensraum." Their largest project is the transformation of an entire city district into a car-free zone. Even though the city of Lübeck supports the plan, there is resistance to the transformation. Could this be the motive for the crime? Or is it because Jan Eschenburg has fallen in love with Max Schulte, who, as a gas station owner, fears for his livelihood and is actually an enemy? Schulte has a gun license and, in addition to his grandfather's old shotguns, keeps a modern hunting rifle with a telescopic sight in his workshop.
