When they were introduced to a Kenyan pastor holding a tent revival for the Amish, they came to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. However, they were soon excommunicated from the Amish community for their new beliefs and forced to face the outside world. Jo Hochstetler recalls some of her experiences during the transition from the Amish to the modern world, including learning how to text and wear jeans. Today, their children - Kurtis, Heidi, and Lisa - have great respect for their parents and the courageous choice they made to leave everything they knew. See less
