But, he also has terminal brain cancer. Why is he thriving? At the age of 28, on the eve of his wedding, Allgood was informed he had a tumor on his brain stem and spinal cord, and that it would kill him in a matter of months. In spite of the diagnosis, he and his wife Jennie decided to have kids. As the days and months went by, Allgood couldn't shake the reality of his situation. He lost the will to live and contemplated suicide. This documentary short is the story of the mental health toll of a terminal diagnosis, and how the innovative use of psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy can restore a passion for living, especially as no one can truly predict a cancer patient's length of survival.
