Curtis, exasperated by the challenges of Mr. Pete's condition, arranges for him to be placed in a nursing home once he and Sabrina return from an anniversary trip. To keep Mr. Pete cared for while they're gone, Curtis and Sabrina hire a nurse, Cindy, to stay with him over the weekend. Initially, Mr. Pete is cordial with Nurse Cindy, but soon his PTSD episodes flare up, bringing flashbacks of his wartime traumas. As his condition becomes more intense, Cindy's demeanor dramatically shifts. She reveals a cruel and abusive side, tormenting Mr. Pete both emotionally and physically. Cindy goes so far as to whip him with a belt and imprison him in a room, leaving him powerless and confined. The film ends on this dark note, highlighting the vulnerability of those who suffer from PTSD and the dangers they can face when left in the wrong hands. See less
