Recent months have changed everything in their lives. The forest, which for years had a place for restful walks, has now become a source of anxiety and trauma. They say the Podlasie region that they once knew is now gone and never to return because they are living on the edge of worlds that changed them forever. Almost every day, in the surrounding forest, the residents of Podlasie come across groups of people nearly frozen to death. They go out of their way to provide them with water, food, and warm clothes. They also offer shelter in so-called safe houses, where they intend to provide them with warmth to create a sense of normality.
