Like any weeknight they stargaze, eat fast food, and sneak their way back into Dana's place. They both have big news to share but, instead, they talk about commonplace things; lying newscasters and the stress of senior year. As Dana works up the nerve to ask the big question, Riley drops the bomb that she's moving. Effective immediately. Dana tries and fails to process such rapid change: all the plans that will fall through and all the words left unsaid. Riley sweetens their bitter goodbye, but Dana struggles to adjust to solitude after Riley leaves. Months later, Riley sneaks back to give Dana a proper goodbye and answer her final question. It is then that the girls accept the changes in their relationship- the good and the bad- and decide what is worth holding on to. See less
