Hercules sets out to save her, followed by Pythagoras and Jason but they are captured by robbers and rescued by the mysterious Atalanta. Hercules overhears Pythagoras tell Atalanta that, according to inventor Daedalus, Medusa can be cured if Hercules gives his life to save her but when they arrive at her cave she forbids Hercules to sacrifice himself for her.
