Both minimalist and maximalist, it simplifies the form of film genres while simultaneously expanding their meaning through symbols, puns, and metonymy. At the same time it is also an experiment in technique, a literal study in filmmaking produced by a student with literally no budget. God that sounds pretentious, doesn't it?
