These peculiar stutters have always been a part of Cody's life, subtly hinting at opportunities and changes in his world, but he has never understood their significance. At the age of 23, the glitches start intensifying, becoming more frequent and persistent, no matter where Cody goes. Initially, he dismisses them as a quirk of his mind, but as the glitches begin to follow him, always lingering just out of sight, Cody grows increasingly paranoid. He becomes desperate and fearful as he realizes that these anomalies are visible only to him, leaving him isolated in his confusion. In a frantic attempt to escape the increasingly surreal occurrences, Cody begins to notice something even stranger-a mysterious, disembodied computer cursor that appears to be following him. The cursor grows more aggressive, eventually cornering him in a terrifying climax. Just as Cody reaches the peak of his fear, the cursor makes a "selection" out of him, clicking on his very existence. In the final moments, the true nature of Cody's reality is revealed-he is not a real person but merely an animated character in a digital world, and his entire life has been playing out on a screen. The film ends with the computer interface closing, leaving the audience to ponder the fine line between reality and illusion. See less
