Mario is a failed artist waiting for an opportunity that will never come. His marriage with Leonor is nothing but a means to maintain his lifestyle, and she can't get rid of him because her family's tradition of conjugal fidelity doesn't allow her to end the sacred union. On a cold Sunday morning, they play a game of Scrabble, a game that quickly starts to materialize their frustrations.
