Despite the local authorities opposition and the local marijuana dealers threats, they got that honor because they are very old, have high walls around them (to prevent bears from entering) and because they were built very close to each other, like a Celtiberian fort. Generally the apiaries are scattered in the mountains to avoid the bees can compete for the same flowers.
