As Zari would say, "I'm just like other kids. There's nothing wrong with me." Zari rides the bus to school and in class, she starts to get sleepy. Her teacher calls her to write an answer on the board, and a mean little boy trips her as she walks up to the front of the classroom. Her teacher takes Zari to a room where she can give herself a shot. When she returns to class, a girl teases her, but Zari's friend Rudy cleverly responds to the girl's taunt. After lunch, the class plays a pickup football game. Yet another mean kid pushes Zari to the ground. Zari's friends come to her defense, and she shows the children her diabetes kit. After school, Zari plays hide and go seek with Rudy, and they talk about what they are going to do when they grow up. Soon it's time for Zari and Rudy to go home. Written by Artie Romero See less
