Ponpin houses six children; Rian who is very concerned about tidiness and cleanliness, Wulan who is the most attentive to her younger siblings, Haikal the most science, Nuri the most chatty, Rafa the innocent, and Baby Jasmine the cutest. Apart from the children, Ponpin also houses Mas Iskak and his wife Mbak Indah. Mas Iskak is the daily caretaker of the orphanage appointed by Madam Susi. Mbak Indah actually works as an employee at a restaurant not far from the orphanage, but at night, she often helps Mas Iskak take care of the children, especially Jasmine.
