One day, while fleeing from an evil saleswoman, he falls into a deep hole and cannot get out. He is saved by Mikhail, an elderly and lonely man with whom his family does not really want to communicate. He saves him and gives him a name - Styopka. It would seem that Mikhail and Styopka found each other so as not to be lonely, but when Mikhail brings the dog home, he feels bad.
