Unfortunately before they arrive Tom's friend Roddy appears, with Tom's parents Pat and Mary - who gets locked in the bathroom. Tom's wife Elaine gets back after a hard day and starts on the wine whilst son Dylan is sick on the trampoline. On the plus side, Mary, anticipating that Tom's cooking will be inedible, brings a roast chicken and all the trimmings.
