Ms. Johnson goes in and out of reality and regret as she recalls her marriage to a civil rights activist -- until she decides that she has to go vote on what she thinks is Election Day. Andre, still reeling from a break-up with his girlfriend, stages a mock voting station in the senior home, as he helps Ms. Johnson achieve the dignity and peace that have eluded her.
