Here are glimpses into the lives of people who are part of the over 4 million blind and vision impaired in the U.S. and the 2 plus million in the U.K. Those numbers are expected to double in the next 10 years. An epidemic of diabetes coupled with age related (sometimes as young as 40) macular degeneration guarantees vision impairment is a major issue. Budgets to train and assist adult vision impaired have been slashed due to economic cut backs resulting in many becoming even more isolated. 'Blink.' shows an alternative to that desperate situation.
