Lamia is still upset, feeling that she is responsible for the doctor's death and all the terrible events that have been taking place; but Halley assures her that she has not been brought here in vain. She is the symbol of peace for that entire universe. The meaning will become clear when they greet the new century. A big surprise lies ahead. The mystery of Professor Hagen's disappearance is solved. He is still alive and on this planet. Once again, Lamia meets the man who designed X-Bomber and who had adopted her. He explains that after completing the X-Bomber project, he wanted to find out about Lamia and why she had been sent to Mars. While he was bringing her up, he had the strangest premonition that this child was very special and would have a lasting effect on the whole universe. Whilst hunting for clues in his ship, his controls failed and he was rescued by Captain Halley. Hagen has since constructed a laser cannon to defend Callinian. He hopes it will be the ultimate weapon in the defeat of the Imperial Alliance. While waiting for the expected attack, the X-Bomber crew are introduced to the King.
