The film is testimony to the work of Maureen Minden PhD., RN, Midwife and international health care consultant who carried maternal and neonatal health care education to the women of the villages of Nepal. In 1981, Maureen created the Midwifery Task Force in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to advocate for the right for women to have home births and for the legal, regulation of the practice of Midwifery in BC. After over a decade of tireless work educating doctors, nurses, governing bodies and the public, on January 1, 1998, the B.C.
