The film is ...See moreAs a daughter grapples with her mother's declining memory, she uncovers stories of a courageous and formidable journey... how the tenacity, dedication and perseverance of a few transformed the rights for all women in Canada. The film is testimony to the work of Maureen Minden PhD., RN, Midwife and international health care consultant who carried maternal and neonatal health care education to the women of the villages of Nepal. In 1981, Maureen created the Midwifery Task Force in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to advocate for the right for women to have home births and for the legal, regulation of the practice of Midwifery in BC. After over a decade of tireless work educating doctors, nurses, governing bodies and the public, on January 1, 1998, the B.C.
