At the engagement party Caroline finds out about Wendy and Glen and breaks off the engagement and, seeing his father with new lady-friend Pauline, Wendy and Steven and Michelle and Martin, the lad feels increasingly isolated and alone, eventually going missing. The truckers are alarmed when they see that he is driving to Lovers' Leap, a notorious suicide spot and follow after.
