Materially successful, with an unnamed job and a big house with an advanced security setup, he avoids human contact as much as possible. He is suspicious of any movement he sees around his house: joggers, neighbors, anything. In order to monitor his property, he has surveillance cameras setup around the perimeter. The catalyst for the film's plot is an unusual car that Daniel sees near his house one morning. And the he sees it again. He can't shake the feeling that someone is out there trying to enter his space, which leads to a confrontation that raises more questions than it does provide an answer for him.
