However, the hospital didn't allow her to get close to the ward, and the police eventually escorted her back to the Qiao family. Simei discovered the text messages between Qi Chengang and Meng Guizhi, learning that Qi Chengang had gone to Wuhu to meet with Meng Guizhi, leaving her heartbroken. Qiao Zuwang went to the Xiang family to deliver a gift without Qiao Yicheng's knowledge in order to seek their help in arranging a fake work position for himself. When Qiao Yicheng found out, his pride was deeply wounded, leading to an intense argument with Qiao Zuwang. Qi Chengang recovered and was discharged from the hospital, but he was extremely frail.
