On the beaches, they collect valuable data from sea turtle nests, before visiting a marine laboratory in Sarasota where baby sea turtles are rescued and rehabilitated. They also meet the biologists battling to save manatees from starvation and collisions from boat traffic. Peter helps track down two vulnerable manatees that were saved by these conservationists and released back into the wild. The show also witnesses the triumphant release of one sea turtle who is released back into the Atlantic Ocean after being rescued and nursed back to good health. See less
