Earlier, he was pedaling on the embankment, and, when he passed some soccer players running, he lunged at them. He fell and hit his head. The man was Claudio Trentinaglia, the quiet neighbor who tended the garden of Marco, a retired journalist, as a hobby. Six years later, Marco finds out from the press that his neighbor's real name was Günther Tschanun. He was an architect who in 1986 murdered four people in cold blood. It is one of the most tragic and violent crimes in modern Switzerland. Upset by the news that makes it impossible for him to continue living in his small house, the former journalist feels compelled to find out who his neighbor really was and what led him to kill.
