The German mafia are so interested in finding the treasure full of historic artifacts that was smuggled out of Germany during Hitler's reign, that they are set on finding this watch. And once they find out Emily has given it to Brad, they use Brad's roommate, Karl, to help kidnap her and hold her for ransom.
