By day, he dispenses alternative relationship advice in his irreverent little newspaper column. Yet he wakes up every morning less like a sexual conqueror, and more like the owner of a free-rent bed-and-breakfast. Things have gotten so bad, he's actually looked up his ex-girlfriend from college. She's now a single mother, soon to be engaged to an absentee businessman, while Nick plays house with her-- becoming a surprising father figure for her son. Nick's last friend is about to have her plans complicated by his reemergence in her life.
