They were exiled to camps and ghettos along the River Dniester in the summer of 1942. From three thousand Roma living in Moldova, only half returned home. Today few people know about the horrors of the Nazis regime. From wagons and cars we were put in freights. When we reached the Bug River, the Roma people realized that only cold and misery awaited them here, remembers some of them.
