Fang Nan, who has graduated from university but struggled to find a job, operates a clothing stall in Guangzhou together with her mother, Chen Meiling. Their seemingly peaceful life hides undercurrents of tension. Fang Nan, with her outwardly punk and assertive appearance, possesses a gentle and carefree personality. She secretly prepares her art portfolio, aiming to escape her mother's control and emotional harm by studying abroad. However, the cost of studying overseas becomes a challenging obstacle, forcing her to take odd jobs to save up for the agency fees. Meanwhile, Chen Meiling's emotional well has nearly dried up, and the physical pains of menopause trouble her. By chance, she encounters an old friend with whom she once had affectionate feelings. Just as her emotions begin to stir, the onset of menopause brings about new sensations and reflections on her life and emotions.
