Their suspect list grows long -- all the way from David's estranged psychopathic son, Christopher David Lunz, to a mystery woman the deceased had just met, to a possible serial killer. In the end, the mastermind of the crime was David's estranged son. His accomplice, William Timothy Eugene Westerman, assisted in the crime and was the shooter. Christopher David Lunz was convicted and sentenced to prison, but he committed suicide in prison in 2009. The accomplice, William Westerman, pleaded guilty and was given less than 30 years in prison.
