Varvara likes reading detective novels by Agatha Christie and poking her nose everywhere. Varvara Ivanovna moves into an apartment to her son Roman and his wife Alyona in order to help with raising grandchildren Gosha and Liza. Initially, Varvara Ivanovna's relationship with her daughter-in-law does not work out very smoothly: two housewives "in the same kitchen" always get along in a tough way. In addition to it, Varvara Ivanovna, has her own opinions and methods of raising grandchildren. Varvara Ivanovna began her investigation. Unrestrained energy, innate curiosity, combined with the delicacy of an old master, and, of course, a thorough knowledge of the detective genre enable Varvara Ivanovna to look at a crime from a slightly different angle than that of the investigators.
