We as a community where each and every one of us face the identity crisis, who am I, have still been working to pass our literature culture language and traditions to our next generation. Who Am I is my humble attempt that showcases through real-time stories, shots, interviews depicting the pain and gain of Kahsmiri Pandits. The hearts that have danced to the joy of their own celebrations, the souls that have seen the bonds of love grow, the words that have brought our minds together, this joy is also engulfed with the pain of being in exile, the tears of moving away from our own land, the sadness of facing the exodus, we Kashmiri Pandits have still joined hands together to revive our literature, culture language and traditions. We as a community where each and every one of us face the identity crisis, who am I, have still been working to pass our literature culture language and traditions to our next generation. As a filmmaker, As a Kashmiri pandit, I Sanjay Raina have lived each and every moment of pain and happiness and each and every shot of the film is a depiction of what I feel and what my brother's and sisters across the globe feel. Who am I is just not three words, it is just not the pain of three generations, it is the pain of about seven generations and perhaps many more generations to come ..depicted in the style where every frame, every shot speaks of our lives, the voices you hear are heartfelt pain and joys, the music you listen to is all about our moving on in life.. but still one question will always haunt us ..who am I, an experimental film that shows how we Kashmiri Pandits have revived our language, culture, traditions and literature. Who Am I is my humble attempt to weave together the real-time stories, interviews of poets, social activists, media professionals, actual visuals of literature, culture language and traditions collected over a period of time, to showcase , to bring out the pains and gains of Kahsmiri Pandits.
