Within this field, a small sample of María Luisa Pino's work crystallizes in titles such as Clash of the Titans (Desmond Davis, 1981), The Neverending Story (Wolfgang Petersen, 1984), Red Sonja (Richard Fleischer, 1985), Empire of the Sun (Steven Spielberg, 1987) or The Rift (Juan Piquer, 1990), for whose work she was awarded the Goya for best special effects.
