Five years on it is the night before they leap into a new life together in Singapore. Whilst packing Beth finds an old tape she'd made of a gig at Uni with her best friend Ben. This reminds Harry that earlier that day Ben had thoughtfully left a present for Beth to wish her well in her new life. As the tape plays Beth spots a curious incident happening in the background. On questioning Harry about what his then girlfriend Alice could have got so upset about? And wasn't that the night that they split up? He refuses to remember.
