Through exploitation of the 1872 General Mining Act signed by President Ulysses S. Grant, the Rosemont Copper company and its parent Augusta Resource Corp. want to destroy a beloved mountain that is home to the only known jaguar in the United States. The film exposes a previous project by the same company in Sardinia, Italy where Augusta left a trail of unpaid contractors, broken promises to locals, and an environmental disaster in the form of a cyanide laced pit lake that locals have dubbed 'Cyanide Beach'.
