Hubert and Staller are called to the lake to mediate. While Staller finds a bathrobe belt tangled in the pedals of the pedal boat, Hubert discovers the matching bathrobe on a corpse sitting in a wheelchair on the lakebed. It quickly becomes clear that this is no tragic accidental death. The deceased is Fabian Pfeifer, who was by no means wheelchair-dependent during his lifetime. This can be confirmed not only by his police colleague Sonja Wirth, but also by her best friend Amelie Wagner, who lived with the murder victim. Hubert and Staller discover that Pfeifer enjoyed moving in prominent circles when they see numerous photos showing him in the company of the well-known pop singer Andrea Manninger. When local reporter Barbara Hansen is finally offered photos from an anonymous source that appear to document the crime, the investigation focuses on the local paparazzi scene. Does the shady photographer Luggi Moser have anything to do with the young man's death? And what role does Peter Manninger, the pop singer's husband, play?
